| The OLGC Ladies Guild sends boxes to support our deployed troops by providing them
some of the conveniences and food items they can use on overseas duty.
Collection boxes are in the Church Pod # 1 on the counter. As
you shop in the grocery stores or dollar stores, you can find many
appropriate items to purchase for our troops.
It costs $12.50 to mail a flat-rate box to servicemen. If anyone would like to
make a monetary donation toward mailing of the boxes, please make the check
out to OLGC Ladies Guild with a memo note designating Troop Support Project
and mail to the Church Office or drop into the offertory collection basket
at Mass.
The Ladies Guild would like to have the names of any affiliated service members who is
currently deployed. Currently we are sending boxes to Iraq
and Afghanistan.

Food Items
Beef jerky, breakfast bars, candy, cocoa, powered coffee creamers,
cookies, peanut butter/cheese crackers, dried fruits, fruit strips, gum,
nuts.Personal Items
Lip balm, cigars, deodorant, foot powder and spray, hand wipes, Kleenex,
mouthwash, note paper, shower shoes, stick-up air fresheners, sunscreen,
word-find puzzles.
Place all liquid items in zip-lock bags. Please do not send glass or items that
can melt. |
